THE BEARDED CLAM, established in 1978 by the Strawleys, is located at 15 Wicomico St. in downtown Ocean City, Maryland.
THE CLAM, as the customer refer to us, is a Bar & Liquor Store. We have pool tables, video games and a dart board.
The entertainment is mostly provided by the customers (ha-ha), but we also have 7 televisions and a great juke box.
A feature at THE CLAM are fresh squeezed fruit drinks and some of the coldest draft and bottle beer in town.
THE CLAM is sports-oriented and motorcycle rider friendly. Our hours are 11am until 2am, seven days a week, in season.
In the off season, our hours are cut back some so the help can take a breather.

Nice location . Pretty close to boardwalk .. very good interiors and an old style bar. They had few beers on tap . Tried land shark and it was good . There were few other drafts , and not many IPA options (atleast on tap) .. they probably had ipas on bottles . Service was a bit slow . Billing was slow too. I liked the atmosphere though. They had pool table etc . Nice place for a quick drink. 4/5

This place was much needed, took a weekend trip with some buddies and decided to do a bar crawl while the wives and kids were home. We ended up coming back to the Beaded Clam after hitting some of the others... for the bartender (I believe it was Chip) and the atmosphere. We hit a bunch of bars and found this to be the most fun. Couldn't help but feeling like home with Eagles things all over. Talked with some of the other staff everyone was great! As a club (Redneck Yacht Club) we always look for venues to make repeats on future trips. This will 100% be a must stop every time we are anywhere close to OCMD. We ended up doing 4 or 5 rounds here and it averaged 35-40 a round with bottled beer and some shots which isn't bad for the placement of the bar. Its super close to the board walk and hotels. Great spot if you want to feel like you're at your local bar with friends. Highly recommend it. They have a great sticker too. Make sure you Tip Chip! He's awesome!

The best dive bar in OCMD. Bar tenders are great. You will not wait for a drink. Drinks are good, tried an orange crush, outstanding. People are great. A real friendly place, however if you are easily offended, well 'nuff said.
