Tortuga Bay Fishing

My husband and I went out on the Tortuga last week. We had a good time. The Captain was nice and the mate was super helpful and nice as well. They have everything you need so you really don't need to bring much gear. We will definitely be back for another 3 hr trip.

We love booking the Tortuga for our yearly trip during vacation. Its always a great time, and we actually got to keep a flounder this year. The captain cut it up for us into 4 filets and not a single bone. Sarg is always wonderful and helpful too. 10/10

We went on a trip with Tortuga on July 22nd. My 85 yr old father is in a wheelchair. He’s been asking about doing a boat fishing trip for some time, so I surprised him with this trip while visiting Ocean City. I messaged ahead to make sure they could accommodate him. They were able to answer all my questions so that I was satisfied that this boat and staff was the right choice for us. They let him board first, he was able to walk with his walker over the ramp and step down one step into the boat with the help of the staff. One young man was so helpful getting him to the back of the boat using the railing and holding him on to him on the other side so he didn’t fall (saying he was used to it with his grandfather). Another brought his transport wheelchair to the back for him to sit in once he got back there. He fished off the back of the boat (clear of bench seating) from his chair. He has arthritis in his hands and they helped him putting the bait on until my sister was comfortable doing it. They also checked on him, as well as, everyone on the boat to offer help reeling the fish in when one was caught. They were all so friendly, patient, fun, and helpful that it made the trip such an awesome time. He had several catches but none met the size requirements to keep; so, it’ll be his goal for next year. We will definitely use this company next time and would encourage others to also.
